Description
The Hinged Hemmer Foot, available in 1/8", 3/16", and 1/4" sizes, is a specialized sewing machine presser foot designed for creating neat and narrow hems on fabric edges. This foot folds the raw edge of the fabric twice before stitching, resulting in a double-turned hem. It eliminates the need for manual pressing and ensures even, professional-looking hems. To use, simply attach the hemmer foot to your sewing machine and adjust the needle position and foot alignment for your desired hem width. Begin sewing by manually folding a small section of the fabric and stitching a few forward and backward stitches. Then, lift the presser foot and hook the fabric around the metal guide on the foot, making sure it is smooth and wrinkle-free. Lower the foot and continue sewing, holding the fabric slightly folded to allow it to feed smoothly through the foot.
